The Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Member Countries' Delegates held on Sunday, February 12, 2023, a workshop on "Elements of Countering Terrorism," moderated and delivered by Dr. Farahat Al-Harshani, advisor to IMCTC, in the presence of the IMCTC Secretary General.

During the workshop, IMCTC Member Countries' Delegates discussed several topics on the latest developments and updates in counterterrorism. They also shed light on mechanisms for developing guidance models on the best elements of counterterrorism across all domains, especially those upon which the IMCTC was founded, namely ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military domains.

The IMCTC Secretary General noted that the utility of formulating optimal elements to counter terrorism stems from the experiences of member countries and their respective delegates, who have knowledge of and familiarity with the sovereign, legal, and procedural dimensions and tools of their own countries. At the same time, he stressed that countering terrorism and violent extremism in all of their manifestations is the ultimate, unarguable goal.

The workshop is one of the IMCTC Member Countries' Delegates' workshops intended to promote discussion and consultation about the latest developments and trends adopted by terrorist and extremist organizations and mechanisms of fighting, exposing, and debunking them.
