In the presence of IMCTC Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, and delegates of IMCTC member countries, Lt. Gen. Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al-Qunaieer (retd.) delivered a presentation on “Information Sharing in Countering Terrorism” at the headquarters of IMCTC in Riyadh.

Lt. Gen. Al-Qunaieer (retd.) emphasized the importance of international cooperation in countering terrorism and violent extremism, while commending, at the same time, IMCTC’s efforts on counterterrorism through its four domains of action: ideology, communications, CTF and military.  He further provided an overview of regional and international efforts in counterterrorism such as the United Nations’ resolutions with regard to fighting terrorism. He concluded his presentation by urging all those concerned to make efforts to counter terrorist organizations by addressing the problems leading to the spread of terrorism.

It is worth noting that the presentation is part of a series of lectures, workshops and symposia organized by IMCTC for its member countries’ delegates and IMCTC Center’s personnel meant for capacity building and exchange of experiences in support of the initiatives and efforts made to achieve the IMCTC objectives in fighting violent extremism and terrorism.
