As part of the series of programs and symposia organized by the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), IMCTC held a symposium entitled "The Role of the Islamic Development Bank in Supporting Development and Peace in the Member Countries" on Sunday, 31 January 2021, at its headquarters in Riyadh. The presentation was delivered by His Excellency Dr. Bandar bin Muhammad Hajjar, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, in the presence of IMCTC Secretary-General Maj. Gen. Mohammed Bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, the member countries' delegates, and IMCTC personnel.

His Excellency Dr. Hajjar pointed out that achieving development, stability, and countering terrorism are all interrelated issues and have been conducted by various institutions at the local, regional, and international levels. Their actions complement each other, and their ultimate goal is to provide a decent life for the human being to contribute positively to building their future and the future of his society and state.

His Excellency also made concluding remarks by stressing that the Islamic Development Bank's partnership approach to addressing fragility and resilience issues is primarily based on Islamic principles that support common values and cooperation to promote development, peace, stability, and decent livelihoods for all.

On his part, General Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi stressed out that the complementary work of Islamic organizations in all its domains has the ultimate objective of achieving security and stability in the Islamic world and sustainable development in a balanced environment that is not afflicted by terrorism and reject violence and extremism.
