​​IMCTC held a presentation entitled “The Importance of Internal Audit”, on Sunday, 23rd May 2021, at its headquarters in Riyadh. The presentation was presented by Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Abbas, Professor of Accounting at King Khalid University, under the patronage of IMCTC Acting Secretary-General and the presence of IMCTC personnel.

During the presentation, Dr. Al-Abbas introduced the active role of internal audit in institutions, being a genuine associate of departments’ units through the outstanding role it plays to correct institutions’ course, build confidence, overcome lapses, fulfill their mission, improve work and establish quality principles. He also pointed out that internal audit seeks to provide guidance and reformation to detect errors and enforce accounting, asking everyone to cooperate with the Internal Audit Department to achieve its sought objective. Furthermore, Dr. Al-Abbas pointed that the internal audit message is to invest the available capacities and competencies through standards, regulations, and instructions and enable their access to performance evaluation methods and results of departments and sections’ financial and administrative works. Internal audit also aims to develop recommendations that would help to achieve institutions’ objectives in particular and management's objective, in general, to reduce risks and establish consistent and independent evaluation methods to examine and audit all activities.

It is noteworthy that the presentation comes as a part of the series of symposia, presentations, and roundtable discussions that IMCTC holds to its personnel to raise the level of cognitive and functional awareness and achieve the highest standards of quality and functional productivity.
