IMCTC Secretary-General receives the Chadian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia

IMCTC Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi met Wed. Dec.18, 2019, His Excellency, the ambassador of the Republic of Chad to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Zakaria Fadul and the accompanying delegation. They discussed avenues of cooperation in further strengthening ties and fighting terrorism.

The Chadian ambassador got briefed on IMCTC efforts in fighting terrorism, coordinating the efforts of its member countries as well as the appropriate mechanism for Chad’s delegates to report to work at IMCTC headquarters, given that Chad is a Muslim IMCTC member country.

Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi told the Chadian ambassador that IMCTC represents an integrated set of initiatives in ideology, communications, counter terrorism financing and military domains. All these initiatives aim to bolster cooperation and coordination among member countries based on the values of legitimacy, independence, coordination, participation and ensuring that all IMCTC efforts in countering terrorism are in line with international law, rules and norms.

IMCTC is a 41-nation strong coalition working together to coordinate member countries’ efforts to participate in the global war against violent extremism and terrorism and keen to join other international efforts to maintain international peace and security.
