A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING ON JOINT COOPERATION SIGNED BETWEEN ISLAMIC MILITARY COUNTER TERRORISM COALITION (IMCTC) AND NAIF ARAB UNIVERSITY FOR SECURITY SCIENCES

​Within the framework of joint cooperation between the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) and Arab, Islamic and international organizations and centers, a memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation was signed today, on Wednesday, 23 December 2020, between IMCTC, represented by the IMCTC Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), represented the President of NAUSS, Dr. Abdulmajeed bin Abdullah Al-Banyan. 

Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi stressed that the signing of this memorandum of understanding comes within the framework of enhancing the strategic partnership between IMCTC and NAUSS, embodying the leading local, regional and international role both sides play in countering violent extremism and terrorism and promote their joint vision. He added that this memorandum of understanding aims at coordination, cooperation and integration between both parties, periodically and regularly in a scholarly and systematic way, in research, studies, exchange of visits and information in common areas, media publications, training and all actions aimed at fighting the scourge of terrorism and renouncing violent extremism. 

On his part, Dr. Al-Banyan commended the role played by IMCTC across its domains of action (Ideology, Communications, Counter Terrorist Financing and Military) and noted that this partnership would contribute in serving Arab and Islamic communities and raising awareness. 

It is worth noting that IMCTC comprises forty-one member countries working together to coordinate and multiply their efforts in the global fight against terrorism and violent extremism and to join other international security and peacekeeping efforts.
