An IMCTC delegation visits Mali

July 24, 2019, Riyadh: A delegation from the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) visited the Republic of Mali on Monday, July 22, 2019 to assess the implementation mechanism of support and assistance for the G5 Joint Force offered by Saudi Arabia. 

At the beginning of the visit, the head of the delegation, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Abdul Khaliq Al-Ghamdi, Saudi Arabia’s delegate to IMCTC, paid a visit to the Joint Force commander, Lt. Gen. Hassan Ould Sidi, with the attendance of the Saudi Ambassador to Mali, Mr. Khalid Mabrouk Al-Khalid, and the military commander of the Joint Force, and discussed the criticality of the support. 

The Joint Force commander expressed his gratitude and thanks for the support for the Joint Force provided by IMCTC in general, and Saudi Arabia in particular. 

Moreover, the delegation met with the experts from both sides during the field visit to ensure the implementation of the initiative priorities and its venue. Meanwhile, the delegation also met with the French Barkhane Force commander as well as EU training unit commander operating in Mali. The attendees agreed on coordinating assistance and support among all supporting nations.
