Military Commander of The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition Visits Jordan to Meet the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces

25 October 2018, Jordan: His Excellency General Raheel Sharif, Military Commander of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), headquartered in Riyadh, visits the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan officially to meet His Excellency Lieutenant General Mahmoud Freihat, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces.

This visit is part of the Engagement Program developed to engage Ministers of Defense of IMCTC Member Countries with the aim to explore avenues of joint collaboration and discuss ways to support IMCTC’s actions and initiatives between IMCTC Center and competent authorities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The delegation also visited the Military Center for Counter Terrorism and Extremism.

Along with being one of IMCTC’s founding Member Countries, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has significant experience and distinguished programs in counter-terrorism field at various levels.

Being the largest Islamic coalition, IMCTC unites efforts institutionally and adopts the governance needed to organize its operations, activities, and future initiatives, focusing on four domains that are Ideology, Communication, Counter Terrorist Financing, and Military.
