His Excellency, Maj. Gen. Mohammad bin Saeed al-Moghedi, assumed the task of his job as IMCTC Secretary General, succeeding His Excellency, Lt. Gen. Abdelelah bin Othman al-Saleh, the former Secretary General.

The new IMCTC Secretary General toured CTC department accompanied by Lt. Gen. Abdelelah al-Saleh. He also met with IMCTC Military Commander, His Excellency, Gen. (Rtd.) Raheel Sharif, who welcomed the new Secretary General and wished him every success.

The new Secretary General plays a pivotal role in running IMCTC, since he leads the team of the General Secretariat to realize its objectives by applying institutional comprehensive method in conducting its operations by developing regional, local solutions and realistic initiatives. All Muslim countries and international organizations cooperate and collaborate in drafting and implementing these initiatives to counter terrorism at every level, using well thought out and carefully crafted methods.

Previously, Maj. Gen. al-Moghedi served in the Royal Saudi Land Forces and assumed various positions. He received many medals, including King Faisal Medal of Third Order, by a Royal Decree, in Sep. 2018, for his role in serving the armed forces in Operation Decisive Storm and Restoring Hope.

His Excellency, Maj. Gen. al-Moghedi, served prior to his new post at IMCTC, as the head of Intelligence Directorate and Saudi Land Forces Security. In Feb. 2018, he chaired the joint Saudi Emirati mediation team between the Yemeni government and the Southern Yemeni Movement.​
