IMCTC Receives Two Delegations from Tunisia, Japan

The Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi received H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Hichem Fourati, and the accompanying delegation.

Over the course of his visit, Mr. Fourati was briefed on the IMCTC's efforts across counter-terrorism domains, namely, ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military, and on its role in coordinating and ramping up the efforts of member countries. He was similarly briefed on the latest developments and updates on terrorist groups, and terrorist incidents around the world, as well as the IMCTC's monitoring and tracking mechanisms in this regard.

For his part, the Tunisian ambassador commended the IMCTC's great efforts in countering the scourge of terrorism and getting rid of it in conjunction with the international organizations and alliances concerned with countering terrorism and violent extremist ideology. He applauded the great and pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the IMCTC and its efforts to eradicate terrorism and criminal groups.

Later in the day, the IMCTC Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi, received a delegation from the Japanese Ministry of Defense. The visiting delegation was briefed on the IMCTC's efforts and role in countering extremist ideology and in coordinating all efforts to deal with terrorist courses of action through its own initiatives. They also learned about the IMCTC's role in coordinating and stepping up the efforts of member countries.
