The Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, received today at IMCTC headquarters in Riyadh, His Excellency the Chief of Staff of the People's National Army of Algeria, Gen.  Said Chengriha, and his accompanying delegation.

HE Gen. Chengriha was briefed on IMCTC's efforts and approach in countering terrorism across the four domains of ideology, communications, countering terrorist financing, and military, in addition to the publications, studies, and research addressing the same matter.

During the visit, HE was also briefed about the situation room, where monitoring, analysis, and follow-up operations takes place. The room has indicators for measuring the phenomenon of terrorism that are based on quantitative information and data, regional inputs, and logical analyses. These indicators are used to analyze and monitor terrorist attacks and groups.

After his visit, HE praised the up-to-date techniques and methodologies used to study extremist groups. He also commended IMCTC for its service to member states.

​Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi expressed his sincere gratitude for the visit of HE Gen.  Said Chengriha and expressed hope that Algeria would join IMCTC, considering the significant impact it would have on enhancing the exchange of expertise among member States.
