The Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) received at IMCTC headquarters in Riyadh, a delegation of the attendees of Counter Extremism and Loyalty Reinforcement Training Course (delivered in Arabic) from the Saudi Armed Forces Institute for Religious Affairs.

Over the course of the visit, the delegation received a detailed briefing on IMCTC’s counterterrorism efforts, its role in combating extremism, coordinating all efforts to confront terrorism tendencies through ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing and military initiatives, in addition to its efforts in coordinating and intensifying member countries’ counter-terrorism efforts.

For his part, IMCTC Secretary-General pointed out during his reception of the visiting delegation and while answering some of the questions raised by members of the delegation that IMCTC is premised on the values of legitimacy, independence, coordination, participation and ensuring that all member countries’ efforts are in line with international laws, norms and regulations. The visit comes in the context of exchange programs aimed at countering terrorism and violent extremism.

It is worth noting that IMCTC comprises 41 member countries working together to coordinate and intensify their collective efforts effectively and efficiently across the four domains of ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military in collaboration with friendly States and international counter-terrorism organizations.
