The Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) received at its headquarters in Riyadh, on Thursday, May 19, 2022, a delegation from the Royal College for Defense Studies, UK.  

Over the course of the visit, the delegation took a tour of IMCTC facilities and get acquainted with IMCTC publications covering the various Counter-terrorism domains, the latest developments related to terrorist organizations, attacks around the world and the monitoring of operations conducted by IMCTC in this regard. 

Meanwhile, the visiting delegation received a detailed briefing on IMCTC’s counterterrorism efforts, its role in combating extremism, coordinating all efforts to confront terrorism tendencies through ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing and military initiatives, in addition to its efforts in coordinating and intensifying member countries’ efforts. 

Further, IMCTC Secretary-General pointed out, during his reception of the visiting delegation and while answering of some of the questions raised by members of the delegation, that IMCTC is premised on the values of legitimacy, independence, coordination, participation and ensuring that all member countries’ efforts are in line with international laws, norms and regulations.

​The visit comes as part of exchange programs between IMCTC and other international centers, colleges and organizations aimed at countering terrorism and violent extremism in its various forms and domains.
