The Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi received at IMCTC headquarters in Riyadh, Malaysia's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, HE, Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah and the accompanying delegation.

The meeting discussed matters pertaining to counter-terrorism and IMCTC's strategic initiatives across ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing and military domains.

Then Ambassador Datuk Wan Zaidi took a tour of IMCTC headquarters and was briefed on IMCTC's research, studies and strategic initiatives focused on countering extremist groups. The briefing also covered the latest development and updates on terrorist organizations, incidents around the world and the role played by IMCTC in closely monitoring such activities.

Ambassador Datuk Wan Zaidi commended IMCTC mission and role in countering terrorism across the various domains and that this role stems from the conviction of its all member countries to counter terrorism in its all forms, shapes and manifestations.

For his part, the Secretary General stressed that IMCTC's approach is based on its mission, strategic vision and meets the aspirations of its member countries in countering extremism and violence.  He concluded his remarks by commending the leading role of Saudi Arabia, the host country, for its generous support for the Coalition and for addressing the root causes leading to extremism.
