The Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition received, on Monday, September 25, 2023, Representative Nicolas Ndiaye, Chairman of Security & Defense Committee in the Senegalese Parliament and the Secretary General of the National Assembly of Senegal, Baye Niyass Cisse. The visiting Senegalese delegation was accompanied by Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Ajaji, Vice-Chairman of Security and Military Affairs Committee in the Saudi Shura Council, where both sides discussed matters of mutual interest.

Over the course of the visit, the Senegalese delegation was briefed on IMCTC's mission, its role in counter-terrorism, coordination and intensification of international efforts to counter-terrorism and violent extremism. The delegation was also familiarized with IMCTC's publications addressing issues on the ideology and communications domains, as well as the latest developments on terrorist groups and their activities around the world, in addition to IMCTC's role in monitoring and analyzing such activities.

The visit is part of the joint efforts to strengthen the ties between IMCTC and member and friendly states to counter terrorism and violent extremism.​
