In the framework of joint cooperation between the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, Arab, Islamic centers and international organizations, IMCTC signed a memorandum of cooperation, represented by Secretary-General Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, with the Standing Committee of the International Humanitarian Law, represented by HE, Dr. Jalal bin Mohammed Al-Owaisi, President of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of International Humanitarian Law.

  Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi pointed out that the signing of the memorandum is meant to exchange expertise, transfer of knowledge about international humanitarian law, research, and academic collaboration between IMCTC and SRCA to strengthen cooperation, develop skills on areas of mutual interests. He further added that the Standing Committee of the International Humanitarian Law plays an important role in dealing with international armed conflicts taking place in countries that have had suffered and still suffer from terrorism and its consequences. He went on to add that the international humanitarian law should be enforced in conflicts and wars to protect people and communities from unethical violations.

It is worth noting that this partnership is part of the leading role of IMCTC and the Standing Committee on International Humanitarian Law in countering terrorism, extremism and strengthening the international humanitarian dimension on relevant issues.​
