Minister of Commerce and acting Minister of Media, Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi, and the accompanying delegation visited IMCTC stand at Riyadh International Book Fair2021, and was received by IMCTC Secretary General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi. HE, Dr. AlQasabi received a briefing on the Islamic Military Counter-terrorism Coalition and its mission.
Over the course of the meeting, Maj. Gen. Al-Mogehdi pointed out that IMCTC, in partnerships with friendly countries and relevant international organizations, seeks to coordinate, strengthen and support international efforts of its member countries effectively and efficiently. IMCTC further seeks, through its mission and strategic objectives to deepen and coordinate intellectual efforts to refute the terrorist ideological narrative and highlight the moderate, tolerant principles and values of Islam. Similarly, IMCTC aims to create a joint communication discourse that educate the public about the menace of terrorism and counter terrorist malicious propaganda.
IMCTC Secretary-General further added that the purpose of our participation at RIBF2021 is to familiarize the public with its scholarly publications including (Al-Tahaluf magazine, Allied Newsletter, Book Review and International Reports) that aim to expose the truth behind extremist terrorist groups based on scholarly, intellectual and media perspective.
At the conclusion of the visit, the minister and the accompanying delegation received copies of IMCTC publications, periodical journals, reports, books and as well as a souvenir on this occasion.
