The Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi received Lt. Gen. Iskuskov Oleg, Deputy Director of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation, and the accompanying delegation today.

The meeting covered several areas of mutual interest, and the delegation was given an update on IMCTC's mission and duties at the member states level and IMCTC's domains: ideology, communications, counter-financing terrorism, and military.

During their tour at IMCTC HQ, the delegation received a briefing on the latest counterterrorism publications. The briefing included reports and statistics, as well as analysis and follow-up operations related to extremist groups and terrorist organizations undertaken by IMCTC.

Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi assured the delegation that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as the host country, is committed to delivering a global message that violence and extremism are unacceptable. He emphasized the need for all nations and organizations to work together to counter terrorism through coordinated and participatory action that must eliminate this phenomenon. He also added that the scourge of terrorism has drained the energy of many people worldwide, and it is an enemy of humanity and progress. It knows no bounds when it comes to geography, race, religion, or ethnicity.​​
