The Islamic Military Counterterrorism Coalition (IMCTC) received, at its headquarters in Riyadh, on Tuesday 31/1/2023, two delegates from Malaysia, bringing the number of countries that sent their delegates to IMCTC headquarters so far to 30.

IMCTC Secretary-General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, welcomed the delegates, wishing them success in their work, and highlighting the significant contribution of Member Countries’ delegates that serves IMCTC’s interests and strategic initiatives in countering terrorism.

He asserted that the joint work between Malaysia’s delegates and their fellows at IMCTC headquarters is a blessed step forward made by Malaysian leadership and reflects their high awareness of the necessity of international participation in all counter-terrorism and counter-violent-extremism efforts.

Maj. Gen. Al-Moghedi stressed how the diversity of religious, ethnic, and cultural sects in Malaysia as well as its geographical location southeast Asia shall positively contribute to Malaysia’s participation as an actor in IMCTC, given its pioneering efforts joining regional and international counter-terrorism organizations and denouncing violence and extremism.

It is worth noting that IMCTC comprises 42 Member Countries that work together to coordinate and unify their ideological, communications, and military efforts in combating terrorist financing with a great degree of efficiency and effectiveness, in partnership with friendly countries and counter-terrorism international organizations.
